ASR Health Benefits is a rapidly growing third-party administrator of health plans, including medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, Section 125, and consumer-directed health plans.  We administer these health plans through dedicated client service teams, consisting of staff members from each department at ASR who work together to meet our clients’ needs.

seeking an experienced Manager of Employer Group Reporting and Analytics to join our sales department. We offer a dynamic work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development. Position Summary:

The Manager of Employer Group Reporting and Analytics is responsible for leading the development, production, and delivery of data-driven reporting and analytical insights for employer group clients of ASR Health Benefits. This role ensures accurate, timely, and strategic reporting on healthcare claims, utilization, financial performance, and key health metrics, supporting client retention, growth, and informed decision-making. The ideal candidate combines deep knowledge of healthcare data with client-facing acumen and operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Design and oversee standardized and custom reporting solutions for employer groups, including medical, pharmacy, dental, vision, and wellness program data.
  • Lead the generation of monthly, quarterly, and annual client reports; ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
  • Analyze trends in claims utilization, cost drivers, and member demographics; provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, clinical, and actuarial teams to support predictive modeling and risk stratification.

Client Engagement:

  • Serve as the analytics subject matter expert in client meetings, including stewardship reviews and renewal discussions.
  • Translate complex data into clear, client-ready presentations and recommendations.
  • Partner with client account managers to align reporting with client goals and benefit strategies.

Team Management:

  • Prioritize workload to meet internal and client deadlines.
  • Ensure documentation of reporting processes and procedures for consistency and compliance.
  • Educate Account Management team, Broker partners, and Clients to utilize and leverage ASR’s advanced analytics system.

Data Governance & Quality:

  • Validate data sources and reporting logic to ensure integrity and accuracy.
  • Establish and develop processes to ensure all source data is integrated into the advanced analytics system.
  • Collaborate with IT and data warehouse teams on data extraction, transformation, and integration.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, reporting, or consulting—preferably within a TPA, insurer, or benefits consultancy.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Deerwalk).
  • Familiarity with healthcare claims data formats (e.g., 837, 835, NCPDP).
  • Knowledge of employer group benefits, self-funded plans, stop-loss, and plan performance metrics.

 

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to balance technical detail with strategic insight.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with reporting platforms specific to TPAs or benefit administration systems.
  • Background in healthcare finance, actuarial analysis, or population health management.
  • Understanding of HIPAA privacy and data handling standards.
